Our Mission: Demystifying the Complexities of Public Service Retirement
At Castle Retirement Education, we believe that those who dedicate their careers to serving our nation deserve total clarity when it comes to their hard-earned benefits. Federal and military retirement systems are incredibly robust, but navigating the thousands of pages of FERS, BRS, and TSP regulations can be overwhelming. We bridge that gap by turning complex government policy into clear, actionable education.
Meet the Founder
A Career Built on Financial Literacy, Leadership, and Public Service Trust
The foundation of Castle Retirement Education was built on over three decades of senior wealth management leadership, institutional compliance engineering, and a deep-seated commitment to educating those who serve our nation.
Founder Matthew England’s career spans some of the most respected names in the financial industry, including serving as a Vice President and Branch Manager at Morgan Stanley and Charles Schwab and Wells Fargo as well as a Wealth Manager for USAA Wealth Management.
Throughout this career, a clear pattern emerged: while the retirement systems for federal civil service workers and military personnel are incredibly robust, they are often buried under thousands of pages of dense regulatory language. Too often, public servants are forced to navigate complex choices—like the transition from active duty to veteran benefits, FERS annuity tracking, and Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) asset mechanics—without an objective blueprint.
An Educational Mission, Not a Sales Pitch
Having managed billions of dollars in assets under management (AUM) and leading elite teams of financial consultants, our founder saw firsthand how the industry frequently used "education" merely as a bait-and-switch to sell high-commission financial products or roll over portfolios.
Castle Retirement Education was established to change that narrative completely.
Leveraging structural expertise in retirement rules frameworks and core logic, our founder designed Castle’s curriculum to operate strictly as an educational institution. We do not sell insurance, we do not manage assets, and we do not act as brokers.
